Two days ago. I took my computer after a friend had used. When it turned on and I logged in, i realized something called Filter Results was installed in my computer. And my computer is really slow and a lot of  Filter Results ads have appeared in my internet browser.  I tried to uninstall and it says that “action is required”. So, how can I remove or uninstall Filter Results from my computer?

I noticed the Filter Results immediately as it started making these stupid ads and symbols in my web browser.  When i go to, tool- extensions, in my extensions there is an extension called Filter Results and i do not have the option to disable it or remove it. I also cannot find it in my control panel. I have adblock so i haven`t really been bothered with Filter Results pop ups but they have become more frequent. I just really want to get this off my computer.

4. Click Yes on the warning and then click OK.

Windows 8 User

1. On your keyboard press the Windows + E keys.
2. Click the View tab.
3. Check File name extensions and Hidden items

Step Five. Find and remove all suspicious files associated with Filter Results

(You may not be able to find out all files listed below as the virus keeps changing its files with name and path.)

3. A message box will pop up to let you confirm that you want to reset Firefox to its initial state, click Reset Firefox button when it appears:

– Reset Internet Explorer

1. Open Internet Explorer, then click on Tools, then click on Internet Options

2. On the Internet Options window: click on Advanced tab, then click Reset button

3. A message box will pop up to let you confirm that you want to reset all Internet Explorer Settings, click Reset button when it appears:

4. When the resetting process is done, you’ll see this message box, click Close

5. You’ll need to restart your Internet Explorer to complete the resetting process.
