I recently ran a scan and had the Trojan:Win32/Patched.AP virus show up as a severe threat. I then selected the “Clean PC”. This seemed to work, and the MS Security Essentials page turned green. However, when i reran the system. The same threat showed up again. How can I clean my computer of this threat?

My computer (Windows 7) is infected with the Trojan:Win32/Patched.AP. I tried to remove it with Microsoft Security Essentials but I doesn’t work. I tried several online removal and antivirus program but when I restart the computer the trojan still here. I tried to scan in safe mode but a few minutes later the trojan is back

On Microsoft Edge
(Microsoft Edge browser still does not have extensions settings. Now we only need to reset search engine and homepage to keep web browser hijacker away from the browser)

1. Reset your default search engine to remove search engine hijacker virus.

4. When the resetting process is done, you’ll see this message box, click Close

5. You’ll need to restart your Internet Explorer to complete the resetting process.
