WebSaver, also tagged as Ads by WebSaver virus, WebSaver Pop-up, WebSaver Adware and WebSaver Malware, is an ad-supported application presenting text ads, banner ads, pop-up ads, coupons and deals to increase visitors of its partners’ websites. Although it may seem legitimate and useful according to its self-description, it becomes a big headache to all its users due to the numerous types of ads it distributes.
WebSaver is defined as Adware and PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) that makes trouble to its users. From research, we find that most of users do not notice the infiltration of WebSaver until the occurrence of annoying ads by WebSaver on their web browsers like Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. The victims do not know when and how this adware get it their PCs, they obey all security tips and never do harmful things like visiting porn websites, but they still get infected by WebSaver. In fact, it can sneak into a Windows PC even if you just do regular operations just like software installation. Nowadays, lots of adware are actively spread online via free programs. If you do not cautious enough when installing 3rd party free software, various adware, hijacker and other bundled rogueware will be installed without your knowledge.
